We need to backport an existing open source QT based software from Windows to Linux and Mac.?
There an existing open source project, called OpenWengo. It's an instant messaging/SIP (VoIP) client. It's cross platform, QT-based, and it is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.?
We have a fork of OpenWengo with some our additions like proprietary codecs (known to run on Linux!), account/airtime information panel, mini browser panel, etc. Not really something complicated.
We build our project only for Windows. But we want to deliver Mac and Linux versions for our users as well.
So the task is:
1. Make a (back)port of the project to Linux and Mac
2. Merge the changes into main code base so that Windows, Mac and Linux versions are built from a single source
3. Document how to build the project on Mac and Linux
We understand that it might be reasonable to cut some features in order to achieve the first cross-platform version ASAP.
## Deliverables
If we choose a single freelancer to do the job,? and the job is done well, we might consider an employment or give more job in this project to the person. Like, say, further support of Mac/Linux builds, implementation of different platform-specific features, etc.
