We have a project written using Borland Builder 5 that has a number of bugs that need fixing and documenting as to what has been fixed in the code.
The project is a toolkit that allows the creation of courses that run in another application.
The bugs are as follows:
1: Access Violation when opening the Phonetic course (see screen shot)
2: Saving and loading an existing template causes the screen to flicker.
3: Deleting a label from an existing template, and then performing a save and then re-loading, does not delete the label. This may also apply to other controls and that you can create with the toolkit.
4: See section improvements.
*Please note that testing of your bug fixes will need to be determined by running a compiled version alongside our other application as soon as you have implemented them. We obviously would not expect source code at this testing stage but need to determine that other bugs have not been introduced as a result of the fixes.
We will be using version control software on the source code to view any changes made.
_Improvements
_An additonal task, is to test and identify other problems that exist with the toolkit, particularly in relation to creating, loading and saving templates, forms, lessons and courses. You will receive a bonus for identifying other problems along with first chance to carry out the work needed. It has been noted that some problems do exist surrounding openeing an exisitng template or form and then moving on to create or open subsequent templates or forms. This has never been looked into correctly and may help in your identification of problems.
The application currently runs on all versions of windows.
*Project will be provided along with an [login to view URL] file which will detail basic steps to get project building and compiling.*
