Book Search Web Engine

Application:

I need a web search engine for books very similar to [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]

1) The user should be able to type the author/subject/isbn of the book and the engine should lookup 25-30 websites ([url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] etc.) and return the lowest price, details of the book, buying option from that site etc.

2) In case the name is not correct, the engine should prompt for a list of books that are close match on these sites. The user can then select the book that he/she wants.

3) The front end should be a text box and radio button where user can enter author/subject/isbn. Alternatively, the front end can be html link (text book name) on the web-page.

4) I would like to create a blog where I will refer/recommend these book names.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

The front end will be browser like IE or netscape. The application will be invoked from a website (similar to [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view]).

The web technology can be ASP.net, Java etc. and Database can be SQL or MySQL. I'm open to recommendations.

Please provide reasons on chosing specific technology, backend server, operating system etc.
