add a textbox in already created android application

we have an android app already created ,its fetching data from web services . Now web service url is fix in code , we just want to make it dynamic ,like url must be enter on application installation or can be changed in installed application . All web services use that url to fetch data .
our developer has done something like he has created textbox and url is saving in database ,but its not working .
so finally we want it to be work perfectly.
