I'm assuming you will want a small website for logging in and uploading the Excel spreadsheet that would be imported into a database. We can work with most every server database but we will need to know the type of server database as part of our testing. The Android app would capture the barcode and check with a web service on the server to get the stock to display on the screen. We have written multiple mobile apps to capture the barcodes on beer kegs for Sierra Nevada Brewery. After capturing the barcodes, the functionality varies after capturing the barcode since each app was designed for different departments for tracking inbound kegs, outbound kegs and performing maintenance on kegs. We would start your project by getting a sample of the Excel file from you and finding out how you want the Android and website screens to look.
