Looking for a developer who is an AppleScript expert that can create a script that automates a few simple steps that I use when preparing music files for upload on my website. In general, the script will: 1. Identify a folder on a Mac, delete unnecessary files within that folder 2. Convert music files to mp3 format, if necessary 3. Identify a .txt file in that directory which contains metadata for those mp3 files 4. Update the files' id3 tag meta data based on info contained in the text file 5. Connect to an FTP server, generate remote folders to store these files, then upload 6. Rename files and create a .zip file archive containing all of them 7. Connect to an FTP server and upload the .zip file 8. Create a new .txt file based on the data contained in the original I can provide more detailed requirements to interested bidders.

Hi, Does it have to be an Applescript ? I can do all these steps easily in a shell script. Also, I don't understand the last step, what is the original ? Thanks

I'm not AppleScript expert. I wrote very simple AppleScripts only. So I'm not sure that I can implement your task with AppleScript. How exactly do you implement these steps, what software you use? But I'm Java expert. I definitely can implement Java application which will do all necessary steps for you. Please provide more detailed requirements.
