To whom it may concern, I have several years of experience in setting up Linux/MySQL servers and BIND servers. But I didn't quite understand what you want exactly so here are some questions: 1.) You already have a DNS setup working? 2.) This DNS setup is already setup with MySQL? 3.) What is it what you need, DB design, or dns + mysql setup for additonal parameters or something else? Hi, What you want is not related to DNS. 302 Redirect is done in HTTP layer. What you want is that, there is a php code that is looking SQL table and redirecting the requests. If you make a host replying for * it is doable. But its really worst way of doing it. And It easy to Take services down with a bit of DDOS. Extra work on SQL server and HTTP server, maybe even an extra server depending on the size. You should try Cloudflare. It have Free DNS service and HTTP redirection can be done. It has nice gui, if you want to manage through program it is also possible to through API. Just add all of your DNS to Cloudflare which is free DNS service and have also DDOS protection. And for other domains which doesn't have HTTP server behind, just make a page rule on cloudflare that will redirect to page you want to redirect. It is easily manageable, and will not overwhelm your servers with unnecessary requests. I just wrote this to tell you a better way to do it. :) You can ask me question if you feel like.

Kedves Hirdető, a fenti munkát el tudom vállalni úgy, hogy hétfőre elkészüljön. Ha jól értem, akkor már fut egy powerdns és egy poweradmin. A 302 redirectet (egyébként 301 kellene valószínűleg, a 302 az ideiglenes átirányításra való) be lehet építeni a poweradminba, ennek két lépése van: - a poweradmin php alapú, úgyhogy a scriptekbe be kell építeni egy új rekordtípus hozzáadásának lehetőségét. Ez valójában a DNS-ben egy A vagy egy CNAME rekord lesz egy webszerverre, de virtuálisan egy egyedi rekordtípus, aminek az értéke a cél URL - létre kell hozni egy webszervert (fontos, hogy más weboldal ne fusson azon a webszerveren), amire a kérések beérkeznek, ezen egy egyszerű script végzi az átirányítást Ha várhatóan nagy redirect forgalmat bonyolít a szerver, akkor megoldható, hogy redirect típusú rekord változása esetén a poweradmin kiírjon egy cache filet, így nem kell minden átirányításnál lekérdezni az adatbázist. Ha a webszerver nem ugyanazon a gépen fut, mint a powerdns, akkor fordított működésre van szükség: a script készít cachet, és csak a cache timeout lejáratakor kéri le újra az adatokat. Hello There are good DNS servers that works with SQL DB. I have worked with power dns for long time. But you do need URL FORWARDING (302), it is not just DNS function, DNS only resolves named to IP. Additional HTTP server is required to fulfill this task. I'm shure that I can do both tasks: 1. DNS servers with SQL 2. URL FORWARDING via HTTP server with SQL

Have a service script already available for redirects / mapping done via mysql table. for the redirects you just have to point domain hostname to a specific IP on which the script resides. Have more than 15years of experience in DNS management, currently managing a small / mid-size hosting providers DNS server.
