Creating SEF with Joomla 1.5 and 3rd Party Components

Hi,
My website is www.world4teachers.com. I built it myself and it has become quite popular.
When I turn on "SEF" through Joomla "global configuration" everything works fine except for the 3rd party componets (Docman, Messaging, Forum) links are broken and it comes up with a 404 error on these pages. I have not found a way to rewrite these links so they work with Joomla SEF.
The other issue I'm having is that many of my pages are returning 404 errors from Google crawlers. To me all the pages appear to be fine, but to search engine crawlers seem to be riddled with problems. My Sitemap on google returns a HTTP Error: 404 and a response from google saying "URLs not accessible
When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot due to an HTTP status error. All accessible URLs will still be submitted." This has obviously affected my search engine ranking and so forth. I've been pulling out my hair trying to find a way to fix this but have had no luck.
If you can help me, that would be wonderful!!!
23/12/09: I have fixed the SEF Problem and now have SEF URLs.
This is what I now need help to fix...
My website is returning "404 (Not Found)" responses and google is unable to index my sitemap. What I would like achieved is my website being recognised by Search Engine Crawlers and not returning 404 messages. I would also like to have a sitemap that can be indexed correctly on google. Thanks.
