Hi! Let me introduce myself first. My name is Milos Simic and I have a Master's degree in Computer Science. Your project seems very interesting and I would really like to work on it since my main fields of interests are machine learning and metaheuristic algorithm and this project belongs to both of them. I am familiar with both PSO and Neural Networks so I am confident that I can finish this successfully. However, could You, please, send me more information on the project? I have few questions regarding some details: 1. If I understand the project correctly, you want to train your neural network with PSO instead of standard Backpropagation. Am I right? 2. Do You have the data set for training the network? If yes, would you need me to perform actual training or to only provide you with software that does so? The project duration highly depends on this. 3. Do You already have the software for neural network and simply want me to extend it or program a special PSO class(es)/package(s) in Java that You would simply plug in to the existing software, or do You need the whole neural network to be built from scratch? In the latter case, what is the type of the network? 4. Are there any requirements for tuning the parameters of PSO? My estimate is that this can be done in 14 days, but actual duration may vary depending on complexity of the problem that neural network is meant to solve and the answer to questions 2-4.
