Offline Storage - Project Short Description Design and build a web site for the purpose of selling on-line different physical storage and warehousing services. This web site will serve both customers ordering their services, and the warehouse stuff fulfilling the services (storing items and returning items to customers). After ordering the needed service, the customer is responsible to ship the items to the nearest or preferred warehouse, together with a printed page identifying his order by an order number, item number and a 2D barcode intended for the warehouse stuff. Customers will be able to sign-in to their private area for the purpose of tracking items and ordering retrieval services. In addition, the website should serve the warehouses stuff to allow the management of the warehouses and stored items. There is a need to define new warehouses with a different but well known and defined internal structure. For example, a warehouse identifier will be defined by a number built of country code + company code + warehouse number. Items arriving to the warehouse will be identified by reading barcodes and will be moved to unique storage locations (such as lockers/cabinets/files) designated by the warehouse stuff. For example, a designated location inside the warehouse will include an Area number + Aisle number + Shelf Number + Column Letter. This designated storage location should be combined with the customer order number and item number to produce a new 2D barcode label. It should be possible for warehouse stuff to locate stored items by order number or to identify stored items by stored location, or just by simply reading the 2D barcode label on the stored item. Basic warehouse reports are required including the ability to print all warehouse inventory. This website is intended for global markets accepting credit cards for payments combined with order invoicing. It should be noted that different companies could be given access to this website to provide their warehousing services. In addition, internal stuff should have different authorization options to perform operations. Option - Connectivity to private and public mail services is required for the return side of items, from warehouse back to the customer (this may depend on warehouse country for implementation).
