I need a designer to create the design/layout of the index/home page of an institutional website of a company that represents other companies in the industry sector of chemicals, petrochemicals, wind power, etc. The final website will be in portuguese, so I'll ask that some of the information is inserted already in portuguese so we can have an idea of what it will look like. But don't worry, all the information I want in portuguese I'll put between quotation marks and I'll explain in english to make it easier for the designer.
Since it's a website for a company that actually represents other companies, it would be great if we can have a classic, serious yet modern website that is not boring and that catches the attention of the person who will open it.
The home page should have:
1- A slider (space where images will be passing);
2- A list of the lastest news inserted in the website;
3- Information about important pages of the website with the title in portuguese (between quotation marks), a related image and a space for a short text. These informations will be linked to the pages and will be used to catch the client's attention to these pages. Here goes the list of the pages that should be featured in the home page:
* "Produtos & Serviços" or, in english, Products & Services
* "Empresas Representadas" or, in english, Companies Represented
* "Apresentação" or, in english, Introduction
* "Fale Conosco" or, in english, Contact Us
The website menu should have the following items: "Home" (Home), "Apresentação" (Introduction), "Quem Somos" (About Us), "A Empresa" (The Company), "Empresas Representadas" (Companies Represented), "Notícias" (News), "Produtos & Serviços" (Products & Services) and "Fale Conosco" (Contact Us).
In the top and the bottom of the website, there should be icons for Twitter, Facebook, webmail and the icons with the brazilian, american and spanish flags (when someone clicks in it, the website will be automatically translated to the selected language).
We really like the light gray/pearl color used in the logo and other material of the Apple company, so it would be great if the freelancer could work with it or with something similar.
The company already has a website, but it's kind of old and we need a new one, modern and with a new design. We'll provide the link to the older website as soon as the freelancer is hired, so he/she can have an insight. We will also provide the logo and any information the freelancer needs.
