Carlen Glass logo design

Carlen Glass Merchants Ltd is a wholesale glass business that was set up in 1988. We are based in Dublin, Ireland. We specialize in the sale of fire resistant glass. called Pyrobel. This glass is used for building facades, partitioning, stairs, glass floors etc. We also stock a range of colored glass, called Lacobel, which is more commonly used in wardrobe doors, wall coverings and splashbacks. Our main clients would be trades people or architects that specifically require these products. Lately we are dealing with the public more and more for some of the other types of glass we stock. It is important that we design a logo for the company that is professional to both the trade, and also to the public. The logo must reflect the fire glass image, but also the contemporary nature of the lacobel range as this is mostly used domestically. In the past we have stuck to colors red and black, as this associates with the fire glass image. I would like to see ideas that incorporate red and black, but I would also like to see other color ideas to represent the company as a whole and not just the fire glass. The logo needs to be modern, fresh and appealing. It will be used on all our company stationary, website, our delivery vans, trucks and building signage. Be as original and different as you want. I'm looking for something unique, that sets us apart from our competitors. I've attached an image of the lacobel glass, our current letterhead paper and a snapshot of our current website. As you can see we need a major overhaul.
