I had a .NET application developed on freelancer to convert CSV files into a uploadable format for my ecommerce site but unfortually it was not developed very well. It crashes and doesn't do fully what we need. We also want the app to work with a Mac, so python might be best. Problem: 1. We have 2x suppliers CSV files (potentially more in the future) we receive from suppliers via email every week. 2. We need to covert them into our own format so we can mass upload to our ecommerce shop. 3. We also want the ability to export the difference between this weeks and last weeks files so we can see the new available products each week (almost like a diff) 4. We use google apps a lot so would be great if this could be ported to that, but am happy to use python we need to be alble to use it on a mac. I can provide the .NET app I had devleopled so its cleaned up and improved or you can just use it as a template to build your own method. Looking forward to hearing from your thoughts

I'm Mac OS developer with several years of experience and many completed projects that's why I'm sure you'll be impressed with my work. I can create application you want in less than three days and it will work on Mac and Windows but I'll use Perl (not Python) for this. You'll get executables (so no need to install anything) + source code. The program will work just like you want: it will convert source CSV to the format you need and calculate diff (I need to have a look at your current application). Hi, I am student of a Community College. And I am using MAC computer but I have no experience with Python. Could you be more specific about the project? Also, because I am not sure how large a file is, how many files you have, and how complex your files are so it is hard for me to decide a bidding price, Can you give me some more detail before entering agreement (assuming I got the job)? Is this ongoing project?

As far as i understood: parts 1 till 3 aren't that difficult. 1: Python can read csv files (just needs a couple of lines of code). 2: exporting to your own format: it depends a bit on the format you 'd like. 3: just take the file of this week and the file of previous week and remove the duplicate data and you've got the new remaining 4: I didn't really understood that part
