Hi, I am a very experienced buyer and completed successfully hundreds of projects. This time I need you to design the basic circuit of the following: I need a mini "dumb" phone that can make a call to a single pre-defined number. The phone is very unique since It will not have a display, the call will go through when pressing a physical button Small green LED's will indicate signal strength. Physical on/off switch with LED next to it indicating on/off status It will only have a telecom antenna to connect to cellular network (no wifi, bluetooth or 3g antennae) It will not host a battery (will always need to be connected to power source) It will only have one speaker and one mic. The user will not put the device to his ear to listen, he will always listen and to the caller like on "speaker" mode. SIM card can be interchanged at any time The whole circuit will be enclosed in a plastic enclosure Notes: The on/off switch will not be accessed from the outside only when the plastic enclosure is removed. You should provide a list of all the components needed and approximate cost of each. No cad design for the enclosure needed just 2d circuit. Circuit must be very cost and power efficient.

Hello, The task can be acheived in 2 ways. 1. get the prefabricated circuit from market(PCB of a mobile phone) and attach the remaining stuff as per requirements(you need to have LED and battery). 2. Make your own circuit having GSM Module like sim900D/sim900DZ and a microcontroller with embedded firmware. choice number 1 is more cost effective and also it will be good for large orders. whereas in choice 2 it will require time to fabricate and is not cost effective (sim900 is app USD 35.00 per piece). for further details please feel free to contact. Hi, I hope the speaker mode you have mentioned is the "handfree" operation of a normal mobile phone. With this budget i can give you a major component list with the schematic design (so later it can be very easily converted to PCB Layout). For cost estimation I would provide a Excel sheet with links for purchasing each componet from reputed suppliers. Thanks, Dilan

I can tell you the required links and resource from where you can procure for 50 dollars. I can also make one for you in 500 dollars. Total expenditure if you make it urself is around 250 dollars.
