We are looking for someone to consult and update our lithium-ion battery management system.
Our current design functions correctly and all firmware is working but we are looking to make it more robust and also add some features. We currently have a design and firmware for 7S as well as a 10S lithium battery packs built around the BQ77PL900 and a PIC16.
Instead of the BQ77PL900, it looks like TI is now recommending to use the BQ76930.
We currently have our own state of charge calculations... but would prefer to have something more accurate... similar to the BQ34Z100-G1 perhaps. We hope that by using industry proven technologies by TI all together we get a more accurate picture of the battery system health. We want the BMS to use three "fuel gauge" measurements (voltage, Coulomb Counting, Impedance Track) to accurately read battery level and eliminate false readings even over the lifetime of using the battery. It appears the BQ34Z100-G1 can help greatly with this.
