A connection handler for Windows

Synopsis The scope of this project is to implement the API client code connection handler for Windows XP/Vista/7/8. The server side of the system is already available. API client requirements Needs to be built using .NET and Windows Visual Studio (VB preferred) Use ≤ .NET 3.5 if possible. Single form, connect button and a textbox / popup box to display results. API Server interfaces The server functions have 2 interfaces to connect to. A website interface is provided for the tester to test the server functions of the API. The server code can be currently accessed via the following interfaces. Website address for server: https://XXXX/[login to view URL] (will be provided) Opening this website will bring you to a menu and a button. You can see the list of connected servers. The list will be empty if there are no clients connected. If a client is connected using the details provided below it will show up in the list. Select the client and click on “send message”. Once you click on this button the client app should see the response (and open a popup). API client connection (needs to be built using .NET). Server: XXX (Will be provided) Port: YYYY (Will be provided) Connection mode: SSL (Accept all certificates - use override) Client SSL cert: N/A API Transaction log The following shows the transaction log between the server and client. When you login into the https://XXX/[login to view URL] and click on the “Open”, the following should appear in the client side. Server>Client: message The client program then needs to open a popup and display the message.
