I have always been very jovial, comical and satirical, with a passion for writing comedy, which reflects in almost every thing I write. I always tell people that every great moment begins with a laugh, and being true to that mantra, making people laugh has embodied my life's work. I use a lot of humour, subtly and otherwise, but for commercials I ensure that the humour does not overpower the message being disseminated. There aren't any templates that one should use to express messages in commercials, it should flow with the essence of what is being advertised, but what I would do is link it to something current, yet untimely, so even 10 years form now, persons may look at the commercial and laugh as the do now, reflecting, "ahh! that was a good one!"
