The Android tablet is the master device, in response to touching the screen button locations will output specific data strings via a USB port, through a FTDI RS232 device, to a slave device. The slave device will reply with specific data which in some cases changes the display on the Android tablet. To aid understanding I have a Visual Basic programme which simulates the application using the PC and mouse in place of the android tablet.
