This is a research-oriented project in computer science. The area of the research can be among artificial intelligence, data mining, soft computing techniques, decision support systems, etc. or on another agreed area. Please send your background and appropriate topics to work on with sample papers in your bid. IMPORTANT: The total project budget is 4500$ so keep in mind! Project Schedule with Expected Deliverables and Budget: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- Project Proposal (6 weeks): 01/2014-02/2014: Formulation of project's proposal with literature survey. 2- Stage-1 (6 months): 02/2014-08/2014: Development of a novel algorithm and testing its results with existing algorithms in the area (the algoithm has to outperform the existing algorithms). 3- Stage-2 (6 months): 09/2014-03/2015: Development of the second algorithm about the problem domain (it should also has some novelty). The algorithms in stage 1 and 2 should be complementary. 4- Stage-3 (6 months): 03/2015-09/2015: Implementation of algorithms in Stage 1 and 2 to solve a real-world problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, I am interested in this project. I have background in artificial intelligence especially in machine learning, computer vision and probabilistic graphical models. If possible I would like to do some research regarding computer vision and machine learning or pgm (so application of machine learning and/or pgm in computer vision). I have experience with vast variety of algorithms in computer vision such as tracking, image analysis (making decisions given image) and so on. I am also open for suggestions from other fields of AI since I also have experience in them( search techniques, game theory, applied robotics etc). Best Regards

The project research area: Parallel computations on GPGPUS / Using hardware accelerators to speed up computation The project idea is mainly to use modern GPUS to accelerate a current algorithm that runs on CPU, the algorithm that will be used in this case will be Sieve algorithm which is an algorithm used to generate prime numbers with in a limited range. The project outcome should be a gpu implementation that will be accelerated and out perform the cpu version of the algorithm by a huge speed factor. All outcome of the project will be benchmarked and compared to the CPU version.
