Hi, I would like to hire an accountant to complete the tax side of the R&D tax incentive for an Australian small business. We have a book keeper who has reconciled the accounts and therefore need an accountant to proportion part to an R&D expense claim. I will be able to complete the written portion justifying that the expenses were towards R&D. We also need to complete our annual tax return to the ATO. I have had an Australian accountant complete this for the company for the last two years, so you'll be given their spreadsheets to ensure you follow the same or similar methodology to them. I expect we'll need to spend some time on skype to go through what constitutes an R&D expense and what is not. Cheers, Adam.
