Both papers build upon basic equations of motion and energy and simplify them to get a solution for situations in which oscillations of a surface create air flow in the surrounding fluid.
This phenomenon is called acoustic streaming or boundary layer driven streaming.
After understanding the principles, I would need the theory adapted to describe a similar scenario.
