I am a 81 unit apartment complex owner who just started using Appfolio. The system is up & running and tenants are paying online in the portal. I am moving in my first new tenant. I put in the move in charges which includes holding deposit/security deposit. I use 2 separate accounts. The operating account is online payments enabled & working great. I have a separate security deposit account that is a savings account. When the new tenant tries to pay it says some charges are unable to be paid online. (the security deposit account is not payment enabled) According to Appfolio savings accounts can not be online payment enabled.
