I have a piece of eScript code, fairly simple, around 10 lines that is attached to a button - when the button is pressed, a completely new IE window launches with a specified URL. This is in Siebel 7.5.2. ERM module. There are two problems: 1. The new IE window only opens when using the dedicated client. When invoking from the Siebel thin client, nothing happens. 2. Even from the dedicated client, (i.e. "thick client), sometimes, it doesn't work. Upon clicking the button, IE just hangs. Then if I *kill* the IE window where Siebel is running, the new IE window with the desired external URL opens fine. This is semi-repeatable with no apparent pattern.
