Types of TV Wall Mounts
Low Profile Mounts

Tilting Wall Mounts
As the name suggests, Tilting Wall Mounts allow room for tilting the TV. Now, this would be the ideal choice if you are looking to mount the TV higher than the eye-level. Typically, the mount will have a moveable pivot at the center-back that allows it to move in the vertical direction. This makes it easy to plug and unplug devices and cables. The vertical viewing can be enhanced greatly depending on your sitting position in the room. They are a bit more expensive than Low Profile Mounts but the difference in price is made up for by the convenience delivered.
Swivel Mounts
These are more or less similar to Tilt Mounts with the only difference being that Swivel Mounts allow for movement in the horizontal direction instead of the vertical direction. 5 to 20 inches of room from the wall should therefore be allowed to create room for rotation. Most Swivel Mounts can rotate up to 60 degrees in either direction and are perfect for backroom viewing. The ideal place to install such a mount is in a multi-purpose room.
Full Motion Wall Mounts
These mounts combine the aspects of both Swivel and Tilt Mounts. They can be rotated in all directions making them the most expensive of all. They are very complicated to install requiring a couple of people working together.
