UPD Unfortunately, none of the submitted entries was good enough to be chosen from the first sight. I reached out to 3 designers to make some changes but they were not satisfying enough. So we are extending the contest.
PLEASE, read the requirements carefully, PLEASE check out what cool channels on YouTube look like, PLEASE check what music we play (for example, we don't want a pink background, we don't play bubble gum pop!)
Also, we don't really fancy cosmic background (or our website background for a YouTube channel) cause YouTube has a certain standard for channels covers. . Make it simple and stylish.

We are Chase the Comet, a female-fronted alternative rock band from Los Angeles.
We are now recording a new album and are working hard on our social media presence. It's obvious that all our social media accounts need great design. And if on Facebook we can get away with a cool video-trailer then on YouTube we need a cool banner that will make our channel look appealing for potential subscribers.
On our channel, apart from original music videos, we also post some covers on our favorite artists, concert reviews, interviews and other music-related stuff we think might bring attention to our music.
Obviously, I, Nika Comet, the frontwoman for the band, am drawing the most of attention to the band through my loyal Instagram following so it'd be nice to keep an accent on me on the banner (you can use a few pictures). Please, take a look at what I've done myself so far for the channel - http://youtube.com/chasethecomet and it'd be also nice if you spent 5-10 minutes at seeing what content we've got to try to indicate the vibe in the design. Apparently I'm not a designer and now I want something more complicated and interesting that I could have made myself that's why I need your help.
Also, I think it'd be cool to have a caption: New Album 'Rush'n'Rule' - out in February, 2018!
Along with this YouTube banner (and I hope you'll make sure it looks great on all devices and does not interfere with profile picture) we'll need the same artwork in a different size 1590x400px (for our VK official community - http://vk.com/chasethecomet ) in sRGB.

I honestly don't know what it should eventually look like, I saw vloggers use pics very naturally in their banners and I guess ours can be something like that. P.S. Only professionally made banners have a REAL chance to win. Please don't waste your and my time sending out banners with simply one picture or something like that. I strongly encourage you to NOT apply if you haven't had good practice creating YT banners. I can pretty much create a simple one myself, I want something better than we've got now and that's why I need a professional designer's help.

“Amazing job! I've been holding a contest for a week, got 55 entries and was not too happy with any of them so I decided to extend it. And then, Ady submitted his work! Blimey, it was original, stylish, cool and we fell in love with it right away! But he didn't stop surprising us - I requested a few tiny changes and almost right away he submitted 3 different other options with changes made! We are absolutely in love with his style and will def work with Vivid Creative Design again!”
