We would love to have a logo for our rescue. perhaps something that we can use as our "brand" on things - fliers, fundraisers, fb page, website, eventually on items that we sell. We love celtic knotwork, paw prints, and hearts. We have two designs that we kind of like but they belong to others - we would like something similar but different. We really don't know exactly what we want, but we will know it when we see it. We can provide some examples to give you some ideas and let your imagination go from there. If you are thinking in terms of Playing on the words, Paw Prints, Paw Prints made out of Hearts, Upside down Hearts, Celtic Knotwork, GSD or German Shepherds, Silouettes, etc. You ca also view our first LOGO contest and see the ones that are there. We LOVED something about all of them. We are a very small rescue, five disabled veterans, an we focus on the large breed dogs primarily. They are the hardest to find forever homes for and they are usually the first ones to be put down in the shelters. We run our rescue on a foster home model - we do not have a facility. Some of our dogs go onto advanced training and become service dogs or therapy dogs and are placed with other disabled veterans or autistic children in need. We do not charge for this so we operate on a shoestring budget. We are on FB out of Statesville, NC. If we had to pick one single breed as our favorites it would be the GSD (German Shepherd Dog) but in all honesty, we love all dogs. We don't turn our backs on the small dogs if we can help them as well. Since all of us are disabled we all make some sort of craft items and sell those at fundraisers to help cover the expenses of vet care, transportation, and everything else dog related for the rescue. Eventually we would like to be able to also use the logos that we select on an embroidery sewing machine so we can add it to our craft projects for sale. We can offer to feature any dog related artwork on our website, fb page etc. and most certainly give you credit for your creative works beyond what we select as winners of this contest. Please remember that we are trying to save dogs lives and every penny that we get goes towards that purpose. We hope that you will want to help us in your way by contributing your art and accept our payment, gratitude and featuring your artwork on our pages as payment and know that you are a part of something very special. Together We Can Make A Difference ! That is our motto (Together We Can Make A Difference!) and we really believe it. The files attached are different things that we either currently use - the business cards were stock cards - since we do not have a logo yet. The celtic print paw print is a logo for a friends rescue, we absolutely LOVE it but obviously cannot use the same thing. There is a small icon that has a paw print with a heart scroll which is cute and the paw print that has a heart and a GSD's sillouette is also very nice. I am hoping that there will be some creative ideas that we have not thought of that incorporates something of our ideas. We like the Black and White, Blues and Purples. We want it to be something that will be able to be worn on t-shirts, hats, mugs, ear warmers, embroidered on personal items and still be recognized as a dog rescue symbol of a sorts. I'll leave the rest to your creative ideas and thank each and every one of you in advance for taking the time to help us build an identity through a logo. Love the direction that everyone is going - Celtic Knotwork, German Shepherd (Silhouette), Paw Print, Heart, "For the Love of Dogs Rescue", and "Together We Can Make A Difference !" . Just a little over one day left, Use your Imagination and Think Outside of the Box. Let's see what ingenious designs you may come up with - on your own. As I have stated before, I do not know exactly what we want - but I will know it when I see it. I'm curious to see what YOU think of when you think of a Large Breed Dog Rescue that also trains Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs, and places them with disabled veterans and special needs children in need. Again, Thank You ALL for the wonderful ideas, the time, effort, and work that has gone into your submissions.

I wanted to remind everyone of the basic Ideas that we REALLY LIKE ... We would LOVE to see Celtic Knowwork incorporated somehow. We also have only one entry so far that has used the celtic knotwork and we LOVE it. Everyone has been paying attention to the Hearts, Paws, and German Shepherd, but no one is trying to put the celtic knotwork in their designs. Let your creativity flow. Let's see if we can get something with a German Shepherd, Celtic Knotwork, a Paw, maybe a heart, using our name "For the Love of Dogs Rescue", we also have a saying that we use that may or may not be included to say "Together We Can Make A Difference !" we like Black & White, Blues and Purples (Other Colors can be used but keep the RED to a minimum). Thank You ALL for all the effort, creativity, energy and time put into this contest.

Everyone is doing a great job, I just want to remind you that we do NOT want a lot of RED incorporated into our design. Another rescue by the same name uses red in their logos and we are not affiliated with them, we do not want people to be confused and thinking that we are them (by the color recognition in the logo). so please keep the color RED to a minimum. We do like Black & White, Blues, and Purples. Thank You to everyone for taking the time and putting the effort and creativity into helping us to find logos that we can use to embrodery on our items for sale to fundraise for the rescue. In addition to looking for this type of logo, we are still looking for the Main one that we will use on our website and on business cards, etc. so Keep up the good work and thanks again for all the energy and effort that is going into these submissions.   Thank You for your input - we had many entries in the last contest. We are a non profit and all of our money goes to saving the dogs. You certainly do not have to enter the contest if its not enough incentive for you. Thanks for the free advice though. We hope you will consider giving it a try.

I am on the road today transporting , doing assessments, and training. I will not have a chance to leave detailed feedback on the new submissions until I get in late this evening. I just wanted everyone to know that I am very pleased with all the great work and that we will certainly be using several of these designs. Thank You all so very much. I look forward to working with you and seeing all the great ideas that keep coming in. NOTE: RED is not one of our preferred colors . Black, White, Blues, Purples, etc. Splashes of any color is fine as well as item specific coloring, etc. Another group with the same name uses a lot of RED and we are NOT affiliated with them and do not want any confusion with recognition. Excellent work everyone, thank you all for your creativity, concepts, and willingness to help. Just a reminder that for a LOGO that will be used on the website, facebook and the such we will need the word "rescue" included in the logo. For LOGOs that we will use on items (to be embroidered) the word Rescue does not necessarily have to be there. It does help distinguish us from some of the other groups with the same and similar names. On a second note - while we do love all dogs - we do focus on the large breed dogs and the German Shepherd is one of our favorites, using the GSD as the model dog is always going to get our attention over other dog breeds.
